The base unit of velocity in Primel, the ⚀velocitel (abbreviation ⚀veℓ), is derived by multiplying the ⚀accelerel, Primel's standard for Earth's gravity, by the ⚀timel (the ⚀hexcia⋅day or ⚀vibe). This yields a velocity equivalent to 1 ⚀lengthel per ⚀timel:
1 ⚀velocitel = ⚀accelerel × ⚀timel = ⚀lengthel ÷ ⚀timel
This yields a velocity of exactly 0.283464d meter/second, or 1.0204704d kilometer/hour, or 0.93d foot/second; in other words, only slightly more than 1 km/hr, and even a fair approximation of 1 ft/s.
